THEORETICAL BASIS FOR MARKET FUNCTIONING OF PIG PRODUCTION IN UKRAINE
Abstract
Purpose. The aim of the article is to develop theoretical and methodological regulations for functioning of the market of pig production in order to create preconditions for integration into European and world markets of agricultural food products. Methodology of research. The theoretical basis of the study is the dialectical method of knowledge of economic phenomena and processes in their continuous development and relationship. The following methods were used to achieve this goal: abstract and logical – in substantiation of objective and subject model for formation of the pork market and the system of indicators for its comprehensive evaluation and the level of self-sufficiency of domestic production; statistical observation – to create an empirical database for research of market pork; comparison – to identify the status and trends of the market development of pig production. Findings. It has been established that the formation of pork market in Ukraine is under the influence of factors that are divided into dynamic (economic, organizational and technological, ecological) and relatively static, which can not be changed in the short or medium term (climatic, biological, social and cultural). It has been substantiated that there is the opportunity to form civilized market of pork in the country and ensure the entry of Ukraine into its main producers and exporters in the world with the existing natural and industrial potential of pig sector and with using the scientific potential of Ukraine. Originality. The theoretical essence of formation and functioning pork market was deepen, including set of factors, which include dynamic and relatively static, determining the organizational and economic peculiarities of pork market formation and structure of relations subordination of institutions, organizations and enterprises on the pork market in Ukraine has been substantiated. Practical value. The obtained results of research are the basis for the formation of theoretical and methodological foundations of functioning market pig production in Ukraine based on a system of interrelation between cattle reproduction, production, sale and consumption of pork products on the market, based on the cyclic nature of development, due dialectical interdependence economic and biological factors in the formation of the market environment.
