FINANCIAL MODEL OF AN EDUCATIONAL CENTER BASED ON FRANCHISE: CASE ANALYSIS

Abstract

The article examines the investment attractiveness and strategic feasibility of opening an educational business based on a franchise model in Ukraine. The purpose of the study is to assess the economic efficiency of launching a training center based on an already developed franchise concept, taking into account key financial indicators and opportunities for further scaling. As a practical example, a real case with detailed calculations of costs, revenue, payback periods and investment efficiency is analyzed. The research methodology is based on the use of investment analysis tools, including indicators of net present value, internal rate of return, profitability index, return on investment, as well as cash flow modeling at the stage of the first year of business operation. The results obtained indicate that most of the initial investments are directed to intangible assets, in particular, the brand, methodology and marketing. The business achieves positive operating cash flow already in the third month of operation, and the break-even point occurs within the first year. Financial indicators confirm the economic efficiency of the project. The net present value is positive, the internal rate of return exceeds an acceptable discount rate, and the return on investment is over 140%, which indicates the high investment attractiveness of the project both in terms of profitability and long-term stability in the conditions of a dynamic market of educational services. The study emphasizes that the franchise format helps reduce risks when entering the market, provides support from the brand owner, and allows you to quickly adapt to market conditions thanks to ready-made business solutions. Particular attention is paid to the balance of the investment structure between tangible and intangible assets, which makes the model attractive for small business representatives. The practical significance of the study lies in providing an effective applied tool for launching an educational project that can be scaled in the regions of Ukraine, especially in the conditions of post-war recovery, when education plays a key role in ensuring sustainable development.
