ANALYSIS OF SCHOOLS’ PERFORMANCE EFFICIENCY ACROSS THE REGIONS OF UKRAINE FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF EFFICIENT EDUCATIONAL DOMAINS
Abstract
Purpose. The purpose of the article is to define and justify indicators of schools’ efficiency that can be the framework for further development of educational domains. Methodology of research. Initial methods were used in the article for collecting information and its systemizing. The logic and analytic method allowed deep analysis and study of all available indicators of the schools’ efficiency with further outlining the weaknesses of the entire school network. Findings. The analysis of the schools’ efficiency across the regions of Ukraine according to the set of selected indicators showed important economic issues inherent to the whole system of education in Ukraine. It may be the premises for further development of the efficient educational domains. The article proves that the school system in Ukraine requires not only the spatial but also economic optimization. It will allow schools to perform efficiently and provide educational services of high quality. The article also represents results of the comparative analysis of Ukrainian regions according to the efficiency of schools’ performance. Originality. The theoretical concepts of the spatial distribution of productive forces were developed through the selection of indicators representing schools’ performance efficiency across the regions of Ukraine for further creation of educational domains. Practical value. On the basis of justified indicators of schools’ performance efficiency, the assessment of schools while taking a decision of their closure or inclusion into the educational domain becomes possible.
