PROSPECTS FOR ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT IN UKRAINE UNDER THE CONDITIONS OF TRANSITION TO A CIRCULAR ECONOMY
Abstract
The article provides a comprehensive analysis of the current state and future prospects of entrepreneurship development in Ukraine under the conditions of European integration, digital transformation, post-war recovery, and the transition to a circular economy. It identifies key growth vectors, including expanded access to the markets of the European Union (EU), the implementation of digital and resource-efficient technologies, the development of innovative and sustainable business models, strengthened state support for small and medium-sized enterprises, modernization of the agricultural sector, advancement of the creative economy, and active participation of entrepreneurs in national reconstruction processes. Particular attention is devoted to the integration of circular economy principles, such as waste minimization, reuse, recycling, eco-design, and efficient resource management, as strategic tools for enhancing competitiveness, environmental sustainability, and long-term economic resilience. The study emphasizes that the adoption of circular practices contributes to reducing production costs, attracting international investment, fostering green innovation, and aligning Ukrainian businesses with European environmental standards. The main challenges constraining entrepreneurial activity are identified as ongoing military risks, macroeconomic instability, regulatory uncertainty, limited access to financial resources, infrastructure damage, and shortages of skilled human capital. The article substantiates that entrepreneurship remains one of the key drivers of Ukraine’s economic growth and structural transformation. Its further development depends on a balanced combination of effective public policy, institutional reforms, international cooperation, financial support mechanisms, digitalization, innovation capacity building, and the systematic implementation of circular economy principles aimed.
