COMPARISON OF TRADITIONAL AND MODERN METHODS OF ASSESSING ENTERPRISE DEVELOPMENT
Abstract
The article provides a thorough analysis of scientific approaches to assessing enterprise development and a comparison of traditional and modern methods of its diagnostics. The relevance of the study is due to the increased turbulence and instability of the market environment caused by economic crises, military actions and other global factors that require the search for effective tools to ensure the sustainable development of enterprises. The paper identifies the transformation of scientific views on enterprise development from classical economic concepts focused on the growth of capital and production capacities to modern approaches that take into account intangible assets, innovation, digital maturity and strategic adaptability of organizations. The systematization of traditional assessment methods based on the analysis of financial and production indicators and modern methods using KPI approaches, Balanced Scorecard, benchmarking, rating indices and digital analytical systems is carried out. These methods were compared according to a number of criteria - information base, ability to take into account intangible assets, level of flexibility, analytical complexity, scope of application and forecasting potential. It was found that traditional methods are simple and convenient to use, but limited in the strategic dimension, while modern approaches provide a more comprehensive vision of development and are focused on assessing the future growth of the enterprise. As part of the study, an integrated model for assessing enterprise development was developed, which includes five blocks of indicators: financial and economic, operational and production, innovative and technological, digital and analytical and market and strategic. The application of the model allows you to obtain a multi-vector picture of the organization's development, identify reserves for improving efficiency and form sound management decisions. The practical value of the results lies in the possibility of using the model by enterprises in different industries to monitor development, select relevant indicators, compare achieved results and predict future changes.
