STATE AGRICULTURAL POLICY AND INSTITUTIONALIZATION OF SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY IN AGRICULTURAL BUSINESS MANAGEMENT

Abstract

The article examines the process of institutionalising social responsibility in the management of agribusiness in Ukraine. It focuses on the role of state agricultural policy in shaping a socially responsible business environment and integrating the principles of sustainable development and international practices into the strategic management system of the agricultural sector. The significance of social investments in agribusiness in the context of decentralisation and their impact on the development of rural areas is examined. Key mechanisms for integrating social responsibility into the strategies of agribusinesses are identified, in particular: improving the quality of life of the rural population, supporting local communities, introducing environmentally friendly technologies and developing cooperation. Particular attention is paid to the interaction between state institutions and business in ensuring transparency, accountability and responsibility in the agricultural sector. The purpose of the article is to analyse the institutionalisation of social responsibility as a tool for strategic management of agribusiness in Ukraine and to identify opportunities for its implementation in accordance with European and global standards. The scientific novelty lies in defining the institutionalisation of social responsibility as a factor in the formation of an effective model of agribusiness management that combines economic, social and environmental development goals. Conclusions. The institutionalisation of social responsibility in agribusiness is an important factor in increasing competitiveness and ensuring the sustainable development of rural areas. It contributes to the harmonisation of the interests of the state, business and local communities, creates conditions for social investment and ensures the implementation of corporate ethics principles. The introduction of such practices, combined with state agricultural policy and international approaches, opens up new prospects for the development of Ukraine's agricultural sector.
