STRATEGIZING OF ENTERPRISES: FEATURES IN MODERN CONDITIONS

Abstract

The article is devoted to the disclosure of the concept and features of strategizing. The purpose of the article is to generalize and clarify the definition and main stages of strategizing, taking into account the features of their course in modern business conditions. The article proves that strategizing is not identical to strategic management, since it is a way of strategic thinking about the future of the enterprise and includes the process of forming strategies, while the implementation of strategies has a separate subject. In the process of its implementation, the main functions of management are performed: organizing, controlling, motivating employees to transform the formed strategy, in the form of changes in the position of the enterprise, into specific actions in accordance with the formed strategic plan. The scientific novelty of the article is the following proposals. First, the definition of the concept of strategizing is a way of strategic thinking. Secondly, proposing the composition of its stages, which includes: defining the vision, mission, goals of the enterprise's life, analyzing factors of the internal and external environments, defining the system of enterprise life strategies, substantiating the criterion indicators for their selection, making decisions on the final composition of the set of strategies, predicting the trajectories of the enterprise's movement according to the criterion indicators for choosing strategies, conducting foresights, forming a strategic plan in accordance with the needs of the enterprise. Thirdly, highlighting the main features of the present that affect strategizing, transform its course and which include: the transformation of the external environment of enterprises into poorly predicted BANI and DEST worlds; the process of digitalization; military actions; the trend of business socialization; using the experience economy model. The practical significance of the article's proposals lies in the possibility of using them as a basis for organizing the process of enterprise strategy development taking into account modern economic realities, which updates the stages and procedures of strategy development, brings its implementation closer to the needs of business entities and general trends in changing economic relations.
