ANALYTICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF PROSPECTS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF OCCUPATIONAL PENSION INSURANCE IN UKRAINE
Abstract
In the context of demographic changes, economic instability and military risks, the development of professional pension insurance is of particular importance as an important tool for ensuring the financial stability of the pension system and social protection of the working population. Analysis of factors influencing the prospects of this segment of pension insurance allows us to identify key areas for its further improvement. The purpose of the article is to conduct an analytical study of the prospects for the development of professional pension insurance in Ukraine through a comprehensive assessment of internal and external factors that determine its effectiveness and potential for further growth. The research methods include the use of strategic analysis, in particular SWOT, PEST and VRIO analyses, which allow us to assess the strengths and weaknesses of professional pension insurance, its opportunities and threats in modern conditions. In addition, methods of comparative analysis, synthesis and generalization were used. The results of the study showed that the development of occupational pension insurance in Ukraine depends on improving the regulatory framework, encouraging employers to participate in funded pension programs, increasing the financial literacy of the population, and introducing digital technologies to simplify the administration of pension payments. The main challenges identified include distrust in pension institutions, limited financial resources, and macroeconomic risks. At the same time, digitalization and integration with the European pension system open up new opportunities for the effective functioning of occupational pension insurance. It is proven, that occupational pension insurance has significant potential for development in Ukraine, provided, that it is comprehensively modernized and supported at the state level. It is necessary to create favorable conditions for employers and employees, increase the level of trust in the pension system, and introduce innovative approaches to pension asset management.
