SMALL AND MEDIUM BUSINESS IN THE IMPLEMENTATION OF DEVELOPMENT CONCEPT OF THE DIGITAL ECONOMY IN UKRAINE
Abstract
Purpose. The aim of the article is research and analysis of the place and role of small and medium businesses in the implementation of the concept of development of the digital economy of Ukraine. Methodology of research. The methods of research based on general scientific and empirical methods of economic science are used in the writing of the article. Thus, generalization and comparison methods have shown that small and medium-sized enterprises play an extremely important role in ensuring the economic development of the country, and the introduction of digital technologies and tools in the activities of economic entities is a driver that will contribute to their more efficient development and competitiveness of the entire economy. A structural approach is applied to identify the steps that a business should take into account when transitioning to digital transformation. Information bases of the study are statistics of the State Statistics Service of Ukraine. Findings. The place and role of small and medium business in realization of the concept of development of digital economy of Ukraine are analysed. It is determined that in order for small and medium-sized businesses to be able to increase the potential of the domestic economy, it needs to innovate faster. In turn, digital transformation is a prerequisite for effective innovation and sustainable growth. To do this, you must: understand the potential of using the digital world; be customer-oriented; work effectively with data; to adopt innovative thinking; to restructure their own business models; invest in their employees; to develop digital transformation roadmaps. Originality. The main steps that the domestic business must take into account in the path of digital transformation are structured in order to be efficient and competitive. Practical value. This approach can be used by domestic business structures to implement digital transformation, which will enhance their economic potential and, consequently, grow the country's economy.
