METHODOLOGICAL PRINCIPLES FOR THE RESEARCH OF THE MARKET OF PIG PRODUCTS

Abstract

Purpose. The aim of the article is the development of theoretical, methodological provisions on the development and functioning of the pig market in Ukraine. Methodology of research. General scientific and special methods and methodical approaches are used in the course of the research, in particular: monographic, statistical groupings, comparisons, abstract and logical – in substantiation of the methodology of the research of the market of pig products and in developing a conceptual approach to the step-by-step research of the problem. Findings. The conceptual approach to the step-by-step research of the market of pig products is proposed: the first stage – carrying out a retrospective analysis of the market equilibrium for certain types of pig products; the second stage is the development of a forecast of the equilibrium of the pig market. The mentioned stages provide for a deep study of the market of pig products based on methods of qualitative analysis, and with the use of quantitative analysis methods, which enables to develop effective instruments of economic regulation to ensure its balance. Originality. It is proved that the methodology of research on the market for pig products is a complex set of principles, norms, values, paradigms, theories and methods that must realize three interrelated functions. The first of them provides for the acquisition, creation of new knowledge, which is realized on the basis of general scientific methods and general philosophical forms and principles of cognition; the second is to structure new knowledge in the form of new concepts, categories, theoretical ideas, hypotheses, theories; the third function provides organizing the use of the acquired knowledge in public life and practical activity. Practical value. The obtained research results can be used to substantiate the strategy of innovative development of the pig breeding industry. They will promote the balance and ensure the sustainable development of the industry in specialized pig farms.
