GLOBALIZATION FACTORS IN THE FORMATION AND DEVELOPMENT OF THE LABOR POTENTIAL OF AGRICULTURAL ENTERPRISES: AN ANALYTICAL REVIEW OF APPROACHES AND TRENDS
Abstract
The article provides a comprehensive theoretical and analytical assessment of the impact of globalization processes on the formation and development of the labor potential of agricultural enterprises in Ukraine. Particular attention is paid to economic, social, technological, and institutional determinants that reshape the agricultural labor market under conditions of intensified international competition, digital transformation, and increased labor mobility. The methodological basis of the research includes analytical generalization, comparative analysis, and statistical evaluation of employment and productivity indicators derived from FAO, the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, and international development databases. The study identifies a structural reduction in agricultural employment accompanied by steady growth in labor productivity, reflecting the transition from an extensive to an innovation-driven development model. Globalization stimulates technological modernization, the spread of precision agriculture, and the integration of digital management systems, which significantly alter professional requirements and increase demand for highly skilled personnel. At the same time, migration flows, demographic aging in rural areas, and regional disparities create additional risks for the sustainable reproduction of human capital. The novelty of the research lies in the integrated consideration of quantitative and qualitative dimensions of labor potential transformation in the context of global economic integration. The findings substantiate the necessity of modernizing human resource management systems, strengthening investment in professional education and training, improving institutional support mechanisms, and aligning national employment policies with European standards and the principles of the green and digital economy. The results may be applied in the development of strategic programs and evidence-based policy measures aimed at enhancing the competitiveness and long-term sustainability of agricultural enterprises. The proposed analytical framework contributes to a deeper understanding of the adaptive capacity of agricultural labor systems under global economic change.
