SPORTS ACTIVITIES AS A TOOL FOR ACHIEVING SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS

Abstract

In modern conditions, the definition and justification of strategic directions of economic development of the world economy is one of the urgent problems of managing economic processes. Today, for Ukraine, as for the rest of the world, the problem of achieving sustainable development is of key importance. The importance of strategies for sustainable development of the world economy is reinforced by the need to eliminate the consequences of the global economic crisis and, if possible, recover from the pandemic, obtain fundamentally new opportunities for the national economy after the crisis and take leadership positions on the world stage, which is necessary precisely for qualitative transformations in the national economy. The objective necessity is to identify trends in the recovery of the world economy after the pandemic in the context of global challenges through substantiation of the importance of the role of sport in the implementation of the values of sustainable development. The article is devoted to the theoretical substantiation of the role of sport in the implementation of the values of sustainable development and the development of recommendations on the influence of sport as a tool for solving global problems of sustainable development and indicators of the functioning of world economies. The methodological principles of determining the role of sport in the implementation of the values of sustainable development and world culture are considered. The priorities and promising ways of developing sports based on international experience are indicated, and practical recommendations are also considered regarding their impact on the functioning of the economies of the world. The results of the study consist in substantiating economic and social effects by implementing recommendations when developing economic policy measures in order to ensure the goals of sustainable development, which will stimulate the economic growth of Ukraine and, as a result, increase the well-being of the population. The scientific value lies in substantiating the theoretical and practical principles regarding the impact of sports development on the recovery and transformation of the functioning of economies after the pandemic and in the conditions of a new normality. The practical significance of the results obtained will allow to deepen scientific research in the field of world and national economies in order to increase the validity of research forecasts, practical conclusions and recommendations for achieving global sustainable development goals.
