TRENDS OF TECHNOLOGICAL TRANSFORMATION OF THE MEDICAL SERVICES MARKET
Abstract
The article, based on the study of the opinions of experts, among the technological trends that are transforming the medical industry, states: big data, artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, augmented and virtual reality, cloud computing, predictive analytics, chatbots, programs that ensure cyber security and data privacy , nanotechnology, 3D bioprinting and implants. Efforts to ensure fair access to health care, consumer empowerment, and behavioral change will play a leading role in transforming the current health care system from a reactive one that primarily involves treatment to an interactive one that focuses on disease prevention. Thanks to the use of opportunities created by modern information technologies, as well as balanced and justified investments in their introduction and development, the health care sector will be able to significantly improve the health and well-being of the population of many countries in the future. Each technology is characterized, the potential for growth, the scope of their application and the benefits they create for healthcare facilities are indicated. It was determined that the technologies of big data, artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, augmented and virtual reality, cloud computing, predictive analysis, chatbots have the greatest prospects for development and spread in the field of health care. The main advantages of using the mentioned technologies are identified: safe storage of medical information; quick decision-making regarding treatment; confidentiality of medical data; expansion of opportunities to involve patients in medical research; detection of counterfeit medicines; the possibility of concluding insurance agreements; reduction of costs of a medical institution; processing of complex data sets; provision of improvised medical services; obtaining continuous data about patients using special devices; improving the quality of medical care; prevention of deterioration of the patient's condition; ensuring the availability of medical services.
