ECONOMIC PSYCHOLOGY OF MANAGEMENT OF MODERN BUSINESS

Abstract

Purpose. The aim of this theme is to consider the features of the functioning of economic psychology in the management of modern business and the development of proposals for its improvement. Methodology of research. The basis of the study is the systematic approach, the dialectical method of scientific knowledge and the fundamental provisions of the theory of management psychology. General scientific and special methods of researches are used for the scientific decision of the goal: methods of scientific abstraction – to substantiate the categorical and conceptual apparatus; abstract and logical method – to formulate the conclusions of the study; methods of analysis, synthesis and generalization – to study the main tendencies of management activities and its psychological background. Findings. It is established that for effective management at all levels of production, certain psychological knowledge is needed that enables to understand the mechanisms that are driven by the behavior of people. It is determined how a particular environment can affect a person and, therefore, a manager, employee, member of collective or team. It is argued that the most important function of the economic psychology of management is the psychological support of the professional activity of the manager, which is aimed at improving the management of the organization, studying the psychological problems facing the team. Originality. It is substantiated that the subject of psychology of management is the psychological regularities of activity on effective organization management. It is established that subject of management psychology includes: psychological factors of effective activity of managers; psychological peculiarities of making individual and group decisions; psychological problems of leadership; problems of motivation of behavioral acts of subjects of administrative relations. Practical value. The obtained results of the research indicate that one of the psychological factors of the effectiveness of management is the understanding of the relationship of economics and psychology. Psychology of management as a science produces psychological knowledge used in solving the problem of managing the work of the labor collective, analyzes aspects of human behavior in the work team, relations between the leader and subordinate, problems of motivation and psychological climate. It is proposed to increase the qualification of management personnel through the integrated approach to studying the problem of the effectiveness of the team activity. It is established that the consideration of personal, social and pedagogical, psycho-physiological, and motivational peculiarities of people, that is, the reasonable use of the human factor, can lead to a significant economic effect.
