INTEGRATED MANAGEMENT OF INTERNATIONAL RISKS IN CORPORATIONS: STANDARDS, MODELS AND MECHANISMS OF CORPORATE RESILIENCE
Abstract
The article substantiates an integrated and systematic approach to managing international corporate risks based on the convergence of ISO 31000, COSO ERM, and FERMA standards. It argues that the growing turbulence of global markets, geopolitical volatility, and regulatory transformations require corporations to develop harmonized and adaptive risk management architectures. The research emphasizes the methodological coherence between enterprise risk management systems, corporate governance mechanisms, compliance functions, and corporate social responsibility practices, which jointly determine organizational resilience and sustainable competitiveness. A seven-stage model of international risk management is proposed, encompassing risk identification, assessment, forecasting, mitigation, monitoring, response, and adaptation as elements of a continuous, feedback-based cycle. Special attention is devoted to digital transformation processes that enhance transparency and decision-making through artificial intelligence, big data analytics, blockchain-enabled compliance platforms, risk dashboards, stress testing instruments, and key risk indicator (KRI) systems. The article highlights the importance of harmonizing internal corporate policies with international standards, ESG principles, and sustainability metrics to ensure both regulatory compliance and strategic flexibility. The novelty of the study lies in the conceptual integration of ERM standards, ESG requirements, and digital governance tools into a unified risk management architecture applicable to both transnational and national corporate environments. Based on analytical generalization of regulatory frameworks, institutional concepts, and empirical research, the study formulates recommendations for transnational and Ukrainian corporations regarding the integration of risk management into corporate strategy, development of risk-oriented culture, and incorporation of sustainability-driven decision-making tools. The obtained results create a conceptual and methodological foundation for designing sustainable, transparent, and adaptive enterprise risk management systems capable of enhancing competitiveness, maintaining stakeholder trust, and ensuring long-term stability in conditions of global uncertainty and digital transformation.
